MOree's historic support of the Apollo 11 moon landing

A space history.

Pictures of the Apollo 11 Moon landing

were transmitted around the world

via the OTC antenna (Antenna One) located in

Moree NSW, Australia.

The image is one of the first the world saw, via Moree,

on Monday 21st July 1969 (Australian time).

Antenna One was decommissioned from Moree,

and repurposed at Ceduna, South Australia,

where it resides today.
